- used only with action verbs
- followed mostly by imperative or propositive patterns (you must, let's, etc.)
- ㄹ 테면 attaches to action verbs ending in a vowel
- 을 테면 attaches to action verbs ending in a consonant
- is a contraction of -ㄹ 터이면/을 터이면

Examples:
불평할 테면, 오 지마./If you intend to complain, don't come.
성공할 테면, 열심히 공부하세요./If you plan to be successful, study diligently.
