- always takes the particle -도
- usually followed by 가다/to go, 오다/to come, or their compounds
- ㄹ 겸 attaches to verbs ending in a vowel
- 을 겸 attaches to verbs ending in a consonant

Examples:
책도 사고 아야기도 할 겸, 여기에 왔어요./I came here to buy a book and (as well as)to talk to you.
구경도 할 겸 연구도 할 겸, 부산에 갔다 왔어요./I've been to Pusan to sightsee as well as do research.
