This particle can be attached to almost any word in a sentence and denotes "only" and refers always to the word that it's attached to. It can replace 이/가, 을/를, etc and be attached to other particles such as 에/에서, etc.
-Two other uses of 만 include after a interval of (오랜만이에요/It's been a long time.) and at the end of sentence functions as "but".
- using 밖에 vice 만 implies a choice made unwillingly or reluctantly whereas using -만 implies a willing choice
Examples:__
학생만 왔어요./Only students came.
이 책만 살 거야./I'll buy only this book.
나는 주간에만 일해요./I only work in the daytime.
