This pattern consists of the particle 로, the verb 보(다)/to see, and the particle 아도/even if. When one wishes to assert something based on an evaluation of what one has seen, this pattern can be used. The evaluation is based on one's observation of a state or event.

- 으로 보아도 is attached to nouns ending in a consonant
- 로 보아도 is attached to nouns ending in a vowel

Examples:
품질로 보아도 이 물건이 훨씬 낫다./In terms of quality, this merchandise is very much more superior.
이효리는 외모로 보아도 우리 나라에서 제일 아름다워요./In terms of outward appearance, Lee Hyolee is our country's most beautiful.
